SFS variation 2 - platinus

This is the second set of renders based on the Speed Fractal Session done today, Jan 11. This was done after the session ended so no time limits were involved. I'm rendering a larger image of the first variation I came up with - posted here when ready.

The image is stereoscopic. View it by cross-eyed viewing methods. The right eye looks at the left image and the left eye looks at the right image. Voila, no glasses needed, full color, full detail.

The task was challenging because some of my plugins had vanished from where they belonged and once they were replaced things worked well. The starting flame was exclusively 2D or flat. I had to creatively find ways to expand the pattern into 3D, then arrange for the two side by side views.
