Update:  I've discovered a new range of rotations that "break" the RenderStereo script, and that is getting fixed in the moment. Expect an update soon. Those who have :+fav:ed the script will get notifications of the update. Thanks for :+fav:ing!  :)

I discovered from Joel Faber that the "Droste" plugin is one that escaped on it's own and the source code is lost. He assured me that a later version of the code is much better and is called, "cpow", which is a relationship I had not been aware of. If anyone discovers they have a copy of the source for Droste I'm still interested, but I'll work from "cpow" for the moment, or adapt some other Droste effect code that's available.

The RenderStereo Script is out. It seems I get so many more renders done because of how quickly it sets up and works. It's great for getting small test image pairs to check out what's happening dimensionally, then as the design refines it's easy to set larger values and higher quality to render the "big ones".

The new RenderStereo Script Tutorial is a new exploration. I liked many of the picture-tutorials I've seen so tried that format here. It's a very tall image that goes through the whole process of using the script. It should make things really easy for just about anyone. Please provide some feedback on this tutorial and of course on the script too.

The link neilnathanson pointed to has a source code link. Should be easy to port.

Yes, I've been looking at that source code. It's quite interesting and not very complex. There is a plugin for Apo that already exists which is a simplified form of that process, called "cpow". However its written in 2D. I'll probably start by converting that plugin, then perhaps work up a new plugin more explicitly from the source code Neilnathanson pointed to.

Hi,

Thanks for looking... I found a data base that gives credit for that one to Joel, so I've written to him. If anyone has it he would!
